GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -- An 18-year-old was punched in the face 13 times by a deputy police officer, whose dashboard video camera caught the incident on tape, WYFF Channel 4 News reported.

good news to all those blockbuster haters out there, leave it to one sinking ship to try to save another sinking ship, as blockbuster buys circuit city in an attempt to revamp itself. nothing against circuit city but its funny to see blockbuster now try to take on best buy and walmart after being crushed by netflix.

If trends of the past three decades continue, 86% of American adults could be overweight by 2030 and 100% by 2048, a gov't-funded study says. Researchers concede that this outcome may be "genetically and physiologically" impossible. Still, they note that some American groups have serious weight problems: 78% of African-American women are overweight or obese.

In spite of the growing prominence of solid state disks in the storage market, the software, interfaces, and industry surrounding storage are still stuck in a hard disk mindset. Samsung has announced it's working with Microsoft to improve SSD support on Windows Vista, a development which complements other recent news.
