Kansas-born, Adelaide-based novelist James Houston Turner announced his latest thriller, The Identity Factor, is being adapted for film. Described as "Ludlumesque" by The Dallas Morning News, Turner met with US producers after the prestigious "G'day USA" festivities in Los Angeles.

During the past 20 years there has been a dramatic increase in obesity in the United States. This slide set illustrates this trend by mapping the increased prevalence of obesity across each of the states. In 2007, one state had less than 20%. Thirty states had equal to or greater than 25%; three states had equal to or greater than 30%.
